February 14, Meeting with Diego Gomez-Pickering Consul General of Mexico in New York

The United States – Mexico Chamber of Commerce hosted a private meeting with Ambassador Diego Gomez-Pickering, Consul General of Mexico in New York for its Regional Advisory Board Members and special guests. The objective of this meeting was to provide relevant information about the current situation of the relationship between Mexico and the United States of America.

As part of the efforts of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter, to provide its Membership with relevant and useful information and learn from key players in the economic and political arena, we hosted a private meeting with: Enrique Ochoa Reza, President of the National Executive Committee Mexico's Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

December 1 New York, December 2, 2016 Boston: Conversation with Manuel Sanchez, Vice Governor of the Central Bank of Mexico (Banxico)

The United States – Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter held a conversation and presentation with Manuel Sanchez, Vice Governor of the Central Bank of Mexico (Banxico) in which he addressed Mexico’s monetary policy and an economic analysis. Our regional member UBS hosted us on December 1st in New York and in December 2nd our Bi-national member State Street hosted us in Boston.

November 3, 2016 Mexico-Philadelphia, Partnership Building and New Business Opportunities

The United States – Mexico Chamber of Commerce organized a roundtable in which attendees learned about how to develop successful partnerships between companies in Mexico, Pennsylvania and South New Jersey, explore new business opportunities and take advantage of the new maritime routes that connect the port of Philadelphia with Mexican ports in the Gulf of Mexico Coast.

 

October 13, 2016: Cybersecurity & Forensic Investigations

On October 13, 2016 our corporate member Berkeley Research Group, LLC hosted us for the conference “Cybersecurity & Forensic Investigations”. In recent years we’ve witnessed a constant stream of cyber security breaches that have seriously impacted business and government across all corners of the globe. Topics included “how Latin American companies and governments are currently equipped to deal with cyber security”, “what strategies and measures are they now adopting?” “What are the most prevalent risks and the latest legal requirements?”

September 15, 2016: El Grito: Mexico Independence Day Celebration

With the participation of Ambassador Diego Gómez-Pickering, Consul General of Mexico in New York, the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce held its annual celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day. More than 400 mostly young professionals gathered for this annual celebration in Midtown Manhattan, where the traditional Grito Ceremony was conducted and Latin DJ and Mariachi band amuse the celebration. A special thanks is extended to our sponsors of the event: United Airlines, Jose Cuervo, the Mexico Tourism Board and the Tourism Office of the State of Guanajuato.

September 8, 2016: U.S.-Mexico Logistics & Supply Chain

The United States–Mexico Chamber of Commerce Northeast Chapter and Inter American Chapter partnered with Inbound Logistics Magazine on the conference “Logistics and Supply Chain Leaders Meeting” that was held in Miami last Fall. Discussion topics included services expansion for global markets, consolidations and industry specializations, new tracking and visibility strategies based on new technologies, as well as e-commerce and cross border logistics.
