AEROMEXICO launches new non-stop service from New York to Cancun

  • Aeromexico will begin offering daily flights on July 1st, just in time for summer vacation.

New York City, June 4th, 2012. - Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, will launch non-stop services to one of Mexico’s most popular beach destinations: Cancun, from John F. Kennedy Airport New York.

According to a leading global online travel company Orbitz, which conducted their yearly Summer Index Travel Report, Cancun is America’s #1 international summer travel destination for 2012. Beginning on July 1st, the airline will offer a daily flight to give travelers the opportunity to visit the world famous beaches and resorts of the Mexican Caribbean.

Aeromexico’s flight comes at a perfect time as Cancun is in the midst of commemorating the Mundo Maya with events and celebrations throughout the destination. Aeromexico’s flight schedule allows passenger’s to arrive in time to head out to the beaches for lunch and make the most of their vacation:

Whether traveling to the area to relax, explore, tan, or be adventurous – there have never been more reasons to visit one of Mexico’s best destinations. Also, Aeromexico has opened a new service from JFK to Mexico on 767 aircraft, flight 403 which leaves from New York at 5:45 p.m. New luxury seats, each one with its own screen!

Mexico will be the next featured country in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Design Store’s Destination: Design series. Available from April through June at all MoMA Design store locations and websites, the Destination: Mexico collection features 150 lifestyle products by over 60 emerging Mexican designer, including home accessories, furniture, paper goods and jewelry. Destination: Mexico is the result of a joint initiative by MoMA, the Mexican Embassy in the US and ProMexico to promote Mexican creative industries. Also supported by Centro University of Design, Film and Television, Destination: Mexico will provide an important platform for the promotion and marketing of products by Mexican designers.

MoMA started the Destination: Design program in 2005, inviting object designers and artists of items from furniture and lighting, home accessories to printed material, stationery, jewelry and watches, personal accessories, games and children’s items to present and market their products in the museum’s prestigious stores. In the previous editions, MoMA has invited various countries and cities including Portugal, South Korea, Berlin, Japan and Turkey.
