The Belmont Child Care
Association (BCCA)
The Belmont Child Care Association (BCCA) sustains a
free on-track childcare center, Anna House, for the
working families of New York racing, the majority of
who are Mexican. Families in the horse racing
industry face many challenges. Parents start their
workday before sunrise, hours before local childcare
centers are open. Also, given the nature of the
industry, most parents must arrange for childcare
seven days a week. The BCCA is dedicated to helping
parents meet these challenges by operating a
childcare center that will accommodate their
demanding work schedules. The purpose of the BCCA is
to undertake fund raising efforts, and to provide
families access to a high quality, state-of-the-art
center that will enhance the emotional, social and
educational development of racing’s children.
