June 17, 2018 -World Cup 2018: Mexico vs. Germany & June 23, 2018 - Mexico vs. Korea

The Northeast Chapter of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, The Red Global de Mexicanos Calificados en el Exterior (Red Global MX) and The Asociación de Profesionistas y Empresarios Mexicanos Foundation en Nueva York (APEM) hosted at American Whiskey, Mexico’s journey at Russia 2018 World Cup against Germany and Korea. Members of our organizations, their families and friends cheered for “El Tri” and expanded their professional network.

June 19, 2018 - Elections in Mexico: Analysis and Outlook

The United States - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter in partnership with Linklaters, hosted a panel of experts from Llorente & Cuenca, Nomura, Medley Global Advisors and Linklaters that analyzed Mexico’s 2018 general election, as well as evaluated its impact for companies doing business in Mexico and Latin America. The event was followed by a Q&A session were members and guests were able to share their ideas and gather practical information for their business sector.

September 15, 2018 - El Grito: Mexican Independence Day Celebration

The United States - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter, hosted it annual celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day among the business community at the Highline Ballroom in Chelsea. Almost 600 members, their friends and colleagues experienced an unforgettable night singing along the mariachi and enjoying the best tequila in town. September 25, 2018 -Mexico's Fintech

The United States - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter with the support of Finnovista, hosted a conference to address the Fintech industry in Mexico at the offices of PwC in Manhattan. Through the event, the speakers shared valuable information to 80 attendees on the enacted Fintech law and its recently published secondary regulations, the development of the industry, as well as M&As and other transactions in the sector. The list of speakers included the Head of Banking in North America of TransferWise, the Deputy Director General for Entrepreneurial Banking of Nacional Financiera and the Co-founder & Managing Partner of Ignia Partners LLC, among others.

September 26, 2018- NAFTA 2.0: Roundtable with Kenneth Smith, Mexico's Lead Negotiator

Through an engaging conversation, Ken Smith Ramos, Mexico’s Lead Negotiator shared with us an update on the progress and challenges of the USMCA a few days before the USA, Canada and Mexico reached an agreement. The event hosted by Winston & Strawn proved to be a valuable experience for 35 attendees to engage in a critical discussion regarding a key negotiation.

October 04, 2018 -Mexico's Pharmaceutical Sector Roundtable

The United States - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter in partnership with Duane Morris LLP, hosted a roundtable to discuss and present the outlook for the pharmaceutical sector under the new USMCA trade agreement environment. 25 participants were able to engage on an insightful discussion with speakers from Zoetis, Monarch Global Strategies LLC, Sánchez Devanny Eseverri and  Pfizer Inc.

October 11, 2018- Engaged Forum 2018

The United States - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Chapter and American Express Company hosted for a second time the Engaged Forum to discuss and promote a business culture of collaboration, integration and recognition between women and men in cross-border and domestic business in Mexico and the United States. Some of our speakers were: HOLA representatives from American Express, representatives of different NGO’s that support women and minorities, representatives from the UN and the City of New York, local Mexican business women, among others. This year we hosted 80 attendees from different ages and backgrounds
