Rodrigo Amaré,
Managing Committee
Rodrigo Amaré, is Managing Director and
responsible of co-leading the Pinto America
Growth Fund, L.P. (“PAGF”). PAGF is a
private equity investment fund formed with
the objective of achieving long-term capital
appreciation through private investment in
companies serving the needs of the Hispanic
population in the United States. Prior to
joining PAGF, Mr. Amaré was Principal of the
ZN Mexico Funds and a New York-based member
of the investment team. He also worked for
TCW/Latin America Partners, a New York-based
private equity fund focused on making
investments in Latin Americam and for
Goldman Sachs & Co. in its Investment
Banking - Latin America Group covering
Mexico. At Goldman, Mr. Amaré worked in
transactions such as the sale of Banacci to
Citigroup for US$12.5 billion and the raid
defense of CANTV in Venezuela.
Previously, he worked
for Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex) and
for Arthur Anderson in its Business
Consulting Division in Mexico City. Mr.
Amaré holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School and received two undergraduate
degrees in Mexico: a B.A. in Business
Administration and a B.S. in Public
Accounting; both from the Instituto
Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico (ITAM).
