Isabel Fernández.
Trade Representative
Isabel worked at the Ministry of Energy in
Mexico, where she served as a Deputy
Director of the Investment Promotions
Office. She participated in several projects
aimed at developing the electricity sector
in Mexico, including the elaboration of a
federal law initiative to promote renewable
energy in the country, and the development
of a performance measurement plan to promote
private investments. She also provided
assistance to investors who were interested
in private projects for the Mexican energy
sector. Before entering the public sector,
Isabel worked for IXE Financial Group, one
of the fastest growing banks in Mexico,
where she conducted financial analysis and
prepared detailed reports on credit
proposals.
Isabel holds a B.A. in International
Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in
Mexico, and a Masters in Public
Administration and a Certificate in Public
Finance from the University of Pennsylvania.
