Eduardo Ramos-Gómez,
President.
Eduardo Ramos-Gómez is a Partner at Duane
Morris. He practices in the areas of
international and corporate law, advising
multinational and foreign companies in North
America, Europe and Asia regarding direct
foreign investment, privatization, mergers
and acquisitions, and competition issues in
Mexico and Latin America. He also offers
advice for outbound work originating from
Latin America, Europe and Asia into the
United States including securities,
litigation, restructuring and arbitration.
His transactional work has involved co-investments,
international trade, environmental, labor
and fiscal law.
Mr. Ramos-Gómez formerly served as Mexico's
ambassador to Singapore, Negara Brunei
Darussalam and the Union of Myanmar. He is
commissioner of the Commission on
Globalization World Forum, and vice chair of
the Mexican Law Committee in the Section of
International Law and Practice for the
American Bar Association. Mr. Ramos-Gómez
also is a member of the Inter-Pacific and
International bar associations as well as
The Association of the Bar of the City of
New York and the International Law and
Practice Section of the New York State Bar
Association. He has spoken and written
extensively in international settings.
Admitted in Mexico and licensed in New York,
Mr. Ramos-Gómez is a graduate of the Escuela
Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and a
graduate of the University of Virginia (LL.M.).
He has taught Public and Private
International Law at the Escuela Libre de
Derecho and taught the International Trade
Program at the Instituto Tecnológico de
Ciudad Juárez in Mexico.
